So my 30th birthday was this past Sunday, March 12. Through the crazy timing of fate, one of my favorite bands happened to be coming through Kansas City on that exact date, so that’s how I celebrated! We set up a birthday party and show at Llywelyn’s Pub in Overland Park, KS, and with Wyland playing, it was amazing!
So, hello again! It’s been a little while since I’ve posted anything. Since my last photography session, I’ve started a car lot, sold my house, moved, supported my husband through a stressful promotion, and taken a week-long vacation. Phew! I’m so excited to have finally shot a concert with my Canon! This concert was a lot of firsts for me: first press pass, first time backstage, first concert shot with my camera, first time I worked directly with a band, and first for the series shoot I really wanted to try! Overall, it was a wonderful experience. 🙂 This concert was with Kongos
The recordBar has quickly become my favorite venue for concerts! I love being close to the stage and meeting the musicians after their performances. Luckily, I got to see another amazing show there on March 28 when SomeKindaWonderful
